Sekita Hiroshi was an athletic Japanese suit-actor and martial artist holding a second-degree black belt in karate.

He became a frequent collaborator and choreographer of monster fights for Toho, working closely with premiere suit actor Nakajima Haruo. He frequently acted monster-to-monster opposite Nakajima, playing roles such as Ebirah in Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (1966), Sanda in War of the Gargantuas (1966), Gorosaurus and Mechani-Kong in King Kong Escapes (1967), and Anguirus and Gorosaurus in Destroy All Monsters (1968).

He also briefly assumed the role of Godzilla mid-production during Son of Godzilla (1967), taking over after baseball star and intended suit actor Ônaka Seiji broke his hand between takes. Fellow actor Nakajima Haruo allegedly held Sekita in the highest esteem out of all the suit actors he had worked alongside.
