Saijô Yasuhiko

Saijô Yasuhiko is a Japanese actor who played mainly supporting roles in sci-fi films and television during his youth.

He is best known for his prominent role on the television series Ultra Q as Ippei, the assistant to Sahara Kenji's character. Like his fellow Toho actor Natsuki Yôsuke, Saijô was known for his extensive love of cars. One of his more prominent feature film roles was as the scientist Suzuki in Son of Godzilla (1967).

Saijô effectively retired from acting shortly after the death of special effects director Tsuburaya Eiji in 1970. However, he has occasionally reappeared in Ultra-themed film productions and documentaries as recently as 2008.
