Rhodes Reason was an American actor and the younger brother of actor Rex Reason (This Island Earth). He acted primarily in television, playing guest roles in series such as Bus Stop, Sky King, Sugarfoot, Frontier Doctor, Maverick, Perry Mason, The Time Tunnel, and Star Trek.

Reason is best known to Japanese film fans as Commander Carl Nelson, the lead scientist studying King Kong in Toho's King Kong Escapes (1967). In a later interview with author Stuart Galbraith IV, Reason playfully commented on the extravagant set design of the film's submarine—including an incongruous vase of flowers—and the novel experience of being made-up by Japanese artists, which involved a surprising amount of eyeliner.

Later in his career, Reason played the role of Daddy Warbucks in the Broadway production of Annie, replacing the original actor Reid Shelton for the remainder of its run.
