Okabe Tadashi

Okabe was a familiar face in Toho's kaijû films, frequently cast as a reporter or journalist. He appeared in this capacity in Rodan (1956), Frankenstein Conquers the World (1965), and War of the Gargantuas (1966), often serving as part of the press corps exposition dumps.

One of his earliest and most notable genre roles was as Tanabe's assistant in the original Godzilla (1954). He also played a TV scientist in Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971). His career spanned from the post-war era to the early 1970s.
