Linda Miller
Bio
Miller grew up in a military household; her father's assignments took her all over the United States, Europe, and eventually Japan. As a recent high school graduate in Japan, she began working as a fashion model, most notably for Noritake China. After two years in the industry, she was discovered by American producer Arthur Rankin, who was in Japan working on a film adaptation of his King Kong cartoon series. Rankin cast Miller as the female lead, Susan Watson, in King Kong Escapes (1967). She subsequently appeared in Fukasaku Kinji's The Green Slime (1968).
Miller had developed a relationship with Toho actor Natsuki Yôsuke during her time in Japan. However, she eventually returned to the United States with her family, ending both her Japanese film career and her relationship with Natsuki. Back in the US, she briefly pursued acting under the stage name Leslie Michaels. She was largely unaware of her cult status among kaiju fans until she was rediscovered by the community in 2014.
